Google PR Updates In 2013
Page Rank updates by Google has always been an exciting event or day for webmasters and SEOs.
Google Page Rank update usually comes in 3 to 4 months intervals. That means – you should expect 3 to 4 updates in a complete year.
Last time Google updated Page Ranks on Feb 4th, 2013. The previous updates were in November 2012 and August 2012.There is a great expectation that the next update would be either in the last week of May or first week of June 2013.
Actual PR of a page is the rank shown on the Google toolbar. Whereas innate PR means – The inherent but not visible part of the Page Rank, which is already acquired by the web-page, and will be updated in the next Page Rank update by Google. Innate PR may be more, less and even equal to the actual PR.

Page Rank: It’s a rank given by Google to all the web-pages on the basis of trustworthiness and popularity, on a scale of 1 to 10, where 10 implies the maximum and 1 the minimum popularity.Again, a web-page having 0 (Zero) PR means Google has not given any Page Rank to it. But it doesn’t mean it has a Page Rank of 0 (most of the time). Every web-page, irrespective of HOME page or individual page of a website or blog has two types of Google Page Rank – 1. Innate Page Rank 2. Actual Page Rank
Actual PR of a page is the rank shown on the Google toolbar. Whereas innate PR means – The inherent but not visible part of the Page Rank, which is already acquired by the web-page, and will be updated in the next Page Rank update by Google. Few things about Google PR…
Google Page Rank = Total number of inbound links pointing to a web-page. PR depends more on the quality of links from authoritative sites than the quantity.- To increase your Page Rank legitimately you should go for few links from high PR and authoritative sites instead of hundreds of links from low quality sites.
- It’s a link-analysis algorithm of Google to rank web content on the basis of link popularity, in terms of quality than quantity.
- Don’t be overtly obsessive about Google PR. It’s just a ranking algorithm of Google, out of more than 200. It’s very much possible to rank higher for some keywords with a lower PR, comparative to high PR sites. But one thing is clear – the more the Page Rank of your site, the better it is in the eyes of Google.
- Page Rank flows via links to web-pages. You can apply a rel=nofollow tag to restrict the flow of link-juice to an outbound page or site, which you don’t fully trust.
- Links with dofollow attribute have passable Page Rank. But you should always make a link dofollow if you really know and trust the site as a whole. It’s like a vote of confidence.
